About the designer
Nour Sassine is the designer and founder of Atelier 19.6, a brand rooted in her personal story and vision. While not an eponymous brand in the traditional sense, Atelier 19.6 is an extension of her relationship to heritage, craftsmanship, and creative expression.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, on June 19, 1996, Nour has been based in Paris since 2015. She studied at Parsons School of Design between Paris and New York City, and later specialized in dressmaking at the Institut Français de la Mode, where she reinforced her understanding of garment construction.
After gaining experience in fashion houses across Paris, Beirut, and New York, Nour founded Atelier 19.6 in 2025 to build her own language, one that blends modernity, androgyny, and a love for artisanal, handmade garments.
Creativity has been a constant thread throughout her life. Growing up surrounded by art and architecture, she explored different mediums from drawing to painting and theatre. She discovered fashion at the age of 10, sewing her first piece: a turquoise organza bell-bottom dress, an early step on the path that would later shape her career.
